A Simple Answer to a Difficult Topic
So you have heard about the doom and gloom in the market place.
What are the problems and what has caused this problem?
One simple answer to a very difficult topic, Governments have spent money that they don’t have!
Europe has for years had wonderful social programs that they now realize they can’t afford. You either tax people to death, reduce programs, or perhaps a combination of both. Greece has learned this the hard way. Yet, people still look through rose coloured glasses.

Have you ever been on a roller coaster?
As a teenager, the best I could find was the tilt a whirl at the local fair ground. Then I graduated to La Ronde located in Montreal. I remember a great wooden coaster that vibrated enough to cause one to wonder if the car would fall off the track. Upon graduating to the big coasters it was off to Busch Gardens in Florida where I was introduced to Kumba, a 9 looper and my first inversion. I had reached the pinnacle, or so I thought, until I was introduced to Superman at six flags just outside Washington DC. I had met my match. I promised myself never again. Then it happened, all over again. Not the tilt a whirl, nor Kumba, and not even Superman. No, something far more terrifying: the Stock Market over the last 24 months.

7th Annual Golf Tournament at The Pines Resort
This was the first year in which we made our little gathering into a fund raiser for a charity that is close to many of us.
This year's benefactor was the Canadian cancer society in memory of Paul Frost who was a close friend.
During the closing dinner, a cheque representing the proceeds raised, was presented to Paul's widow Bonnie. The 2008 champion is Mr David Nicholson representing the accounting firm Grant Thornton.
Although Mr Nicholson was excited to be this years champion, he said that the real winner is the Canadian Cancer Society.
Thanks to all the participants who made this years event a great success.
